The small kitchen in our caboose was so handy for whipping up late-night snacks after a long day. Plus, we got to sit on the deck and watch the trains go by, it felt like a scene out of a movie or something.
It wasn't exactly budget-friendly but considering the experience it was worth it.

I appreciated the beautiful surroundings and the friendly staff who made me feel right at home during my two-night stay, finding it easy to stroll to nearby attractions like Goat Lick Overlook, which is just a short drive away, and the scenic Middle Fork of the Flathead, perfect for walking and enjoying the views.

Loved our stay in the queen room! It was like an upscale REI with a microwave and refrigerator. The new sauna was a nice touch. The bar and game room were super fun. Great food at the restaurant, especially enjoyed the huckleberry pancakes. Perfect basecamp for Glacier National Park!

missingWrote a review on Dec 09unique memorabiliacozy lobbytrain watchingpoor signage
Unique railroad memorabilia creates a quirky, museum-like atmosphere throughout the hotel. The cozy lobby provides a great gathering spot to chill out or enjoy watching trains pass by from the lawn or patio.
Finding the hotel proved to be quite the headache, with poor signage leading me in circles and even to some houses. The hot tub was shut down during my visit despite it being advertised as an amenity, and the fireplace was also not operational. The Wi-Fi really dragged, feeling more like a dial-up connection than something from this century. At night, noise from the nearby train tracks could be bothersome if you're light on sleep, though that didn't much bother me, thanks to trusty earplugs.

Our family had a fantastic stay! We explored the Scalplock Lookout Trail, enjoying the stunning views of Glacier’s mountains. The kids loved the big open space to play and relax. The cabin was cozy, and the staff were really friendly, making us feel at home.
My kids wished there were more activities for them. An indoor play area or pool would be great for families, especially during downtime.
